If you’re a varsity-level athlete, 51Æ·²è athletics is the ideal place for you to build your skills, showcase your talents and receive the support you need to shine — in DU sports and in your classes. 51Æ·²è is home to and holds 46 team national championships. Our more than 500 student-athletes compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Founded in 1972, the GLIAC has 11 member institutions across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

Through non-varsity DU athletics, you’ll improve your game and keep your edge by competing with universities all across the state of Michigan and beyond.

If competitive video gaming is your sport of choice, you’ll be glad to know 51Æ·²è has an esports team and a dedicated esports arena. The 51Æ·²è athletics program added esports in 2019, making us the third university in the state to do so.
